How It Works

Smartlipo ™ is a new Laser Body Sculpting procedure that uses a high powered laser to dissolve fat and tighten the skin.

A small cannula or tube containing a laser fiber is inserted into the skin through a tiny hole. The cannula is moved back and forth and the laser energy causes the fat cells to melt and small blood vessels to seal off resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising than with traditional liposuction.

The liquid fat is removed using a small suction cannula. The laser energy also stimulates the formation of collagen under the skin resulting in skin tightening.

The procedure is minimally invasive and is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. The result is fewer risks and faster recovery than with traditional liposuction.
